POSITION OVERVIEW

Transform client requirements into detailed drawings utilizing floor plans, quotes, and purchase orders; assist in the design of new products, revise existing designs; create standard models, and modify any specifications based on customer preferences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate and implement standard and custom product lines and methods of sheet metal fabrication in product drawings.
  • Resolve issues with fellow CAD Draftspersons regarding specific projects and equipment requests.
  • Produce comprehensive drawings of equipment using CAD software.
  • Reference previously completed drawings by the company to aid in the creation of new products.
  • Engage with clients to clarify inquiries regarding equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in models.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in drafting from a recognized Technical School.
  • At least 1 year of experience or a combination of education and training.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in CAD software.
  • Prior experience working with stainless steel materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment as a Drafter or in a similar capacity.

ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Solid mathematical abilities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven capability in utilizing various drafting software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-conscious.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints.
  • Accurate measuring skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this position. The role requires the ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently, and the employee must be able to see, hear, speak, walk, bend, reach, and stand. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
