About the Role

Vaultir is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our Galvanizing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment, including overhead cranes, furnaces, heating systems, and pumps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and perform mechanical and electrical repairs on various types of equipment, including cranes, furnaces, heating systems, and pumps.
  • Determine the root cause of equipment problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Operate mobile equipment, such as scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, cranes, and other machinery, to perform job tasks.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Complete individual work orders in a thorough and timely manner, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Sophisticated knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics, with the ability to apply this knowledge to install, maintain, and repair plant equipment.
  • Experience with repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to operate various electric, pneumatic, and other hand tools.
  • Ability to work at high heights.
  • Ability to become certified in NFPA70E, fall protection, and confined space.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $28.00 to $34.00 hourly, with an additional $2.00 shift premium.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a health savings account.
  • A $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid out in three installments over 180 days.
  • A $750 attendance bonus, paid out quarterly for perfect attendance.
