Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at HexaQuEST Global - Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care, with a focus on universal care, IMC, and stepdown units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and develop holistic plans for patients and families
  • Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, surgeons, case managers, social workers, and child life specialists to ensure comprehensive care
  • Manage patients with acute and chronic nephrology diseases, new diagnoses of type 1 diabetes, epilepsy, and idiopathic/non-idiopathic scoliosis
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Monitor and maintain patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest pediatric care practices and technologies

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of pediatric experience, including trach and ventilator experience
  • Two years of acute care experience within the last three years
  • Experience in an Academic Level - Trauma center or similar size hospital
  • Successful completion of a 13-week travel assignment
  • Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from their permanent address state
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
  • Basic Arrhythmia experience

Working Conditions:

  • 36 hours per week, rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
  • May work 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to meet operational needs
  • Permit required through UW Transportation for parking
