Job Summary:

UPMC Cole - Coudersport is seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This role will work from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with rotating weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates medical orders and interprets clinical data to optimize patient clinical objectives.
• Sets up and operates devices, such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
• Administers medicinal gases and aerosol drugs to patients and observes equipment function to adjust equipment to obtain optimum results for therapy.
• Assists in transporting mechanically ventilated patients and responds to code situations.
• Maintains patient charts and orders repairs when needed.
• Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other healthcare personnel.
• Supervises students during training.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Co ARC approved Respiratory program or students with a temporary license.
• Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certification.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) prior to the expiration of the temporary practice permit.
• Act 33 with renewal, Act 34 with renewal, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
