  • Deliver evidence-based therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, utilizing a variety of techniques and strategies to promote effective communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless support and coordination for students.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans regularly to reflect student progress and achievement of goals.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to set and review speech and language goals, ensuring alignment with student needs and educational objectives.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech therapy through ongoing professional development and training, applying new knowledge and skills to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Professional Educator Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
  • Prior experience working with children in school settings, with a strong understanding of educational and therapeutic best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Florida State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Florida Department of Education Professional Educator Certificate in Speech-Language Impaired (K-12).

Work Environment:

  • School-based environment, interacting with students, parents, teachers, and school personnel to provide comprehensive support and services.
