Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Nashville Public Radio is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and development. As the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan to drive audience growth and increase the organization's impact. You will also provide leadership and oversight to all aspects of the organization, including content creation, marketing, and fundraising.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media leadership, with experience in transforming and growing businesses in rapidly changing environments. They will also possess a deep understanding of the importance of public media and its role in serving the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive audience growth and increase the organization's impact
- Lead the development and implementation of operational plans to support long-range strategies and annual objectives
- Provide clear management direction through inspiring leadership and effective communication
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-caliber team members
- Champion fundraising efforts and lead development activities to secure funding sources

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A strong background in media leadership, with experience in transforming and growing businesses
- A deep understanding of the importance of public media and its role in serving the community
- Proven financial and operational management skills, including strategic planning, resource development, and budget management
- Experience in fundraising and/or sales, ideally in a media or related organization
- Strong leadership presence, with excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve outstanding results
