We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at Eisenhower Imaging Center LLC. As a Scheduling Coordinator for Interventional Radiology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging center.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate scheduling of all imaging procedures to ensure efficient and timely department schedules.
- Obtain and enter all scheduling information into the appropriate system, including accurate diagnosis, clinical history, special notes, and insurance status.
- Timely scheduling of STAT orders from physician offices, communicating directly with modality technologists.
- Communicate directly with the Film Library regarding any film or report requests.
- Demonstrate proficient use of communication equipment and computer technology.
- Clear understanding and communication of all exam preps and times allocated to each procedure for every modality.
- Verify demographic information and update as needed in all appropriate systems.
- Communicate in a positive manner with physician offices and patients regarding appointment status.
- Verify that exam scheduled matches exam ordered by referring physician.
- Work in conjunction with the Pre-Authorization Department in the timely scheduling of examinations requiring insurance authorization.
- Answer telephone and respond to requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines under the direction of the technologists and/or radiologists.
- Ability to manage high patient volumes.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year Scheduling Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Front Desk experience in a medical setting
- Surgery scheduling experience highly recommended
- Radiology experience is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a bonus
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume environment
- Strong skills in patient care with a focus on excellent service
- Capable of switching gears seamlessly between check-in and scheduling duties
- Surgery Scheduling Preferred
- Detail Oriented
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills
- Customer Service Oriented
- Provide for patient care; comfort, safety, and patient confidentiality.
