Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator to contribute to our production team's success. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining plastic extrusion machinery, ensuring efficient production of high-quality plastic products. The Operator will be responsible for setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the extrusion line, adhering to safety and quality standards throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare plastic extrusion machines according to production specifications.
  • Operate and monitor the extrusion process to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Adjust machine settings to control factors such as speed, temperature, and pressure.
  • Monitor raw material levels and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Inspect extruded products for defects and take corrective measures as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Document production and quality data accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machine operation or plastics processing is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator in plastic extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific brands or types of plastic extrusion machinery (e.g., single screw, twin screw, co-extrusion).
  • Knowledge of different types of plastics and their properties.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
