Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, weighing grain trucks, probing grain for moisture levels, creating and printing receipts, and supporting staff with various clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Respond promptly and efficiently to patrons, customers, farmers, and employees while maintaining a courteous demeanor.
  • Grain Weighing: Accurately weigh inbound and outbound grain trucks using a computerized scale, logging vital information for billing purposes.
  • Grain Quality Control: Probe grain to check moisture levels and detect foreign bodies or materials.
  • Document Management: Create and print receipts, tickets, and reports as needed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Clerical Support: Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, running errands, and maintaining office cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skillset: Proficient in using computers to record weights, proficient in radio communication, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work Environment: Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods and work a flexible schedule, including weekends during harvest season.
