Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to fill a contract position in the Ithaca, NY area. As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Soliant, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs, and determine if new referrals qualify for services.
  • Therapy Services: Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Case Management: Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide reports of a student's progress to parents.
  • Caseload Management: Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Resource Development: Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders.
  • Credentialing: New York TSSLD credential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Solid Organization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Up-to-date Knowledge: Knowledge of New York Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
  • Professionalism and Accountability: Demonstrated professionalism and accountability in a school-based setting.
