My City Transportation is seeking dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Transportation Dispatchers. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued passengers, ensuring their transportation needs are met efficiently and professionally.
Job Responsibilities- Promptly answer passenger calls, gathering all necessary trip information within designated timeframes.
- Provide comprehensive system information to current, new, and potential passengers regarding service access and effective utilization.
- Accurately input passenger data into our system and process trip requests, negotiating requested times when necessary.
- Communicate with passengers through follow-up calls as required by schedule changes or standard procedures.
- Timely inform scheduling, dispatch, or vehicle operations personnel of passenger cancellations.
- Maintain up-to-date passenger records in our customer database, ensuring all relevant information such as contact details, fare type, and rider status is accurate.
- Prioritize a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and minimizing risks to yourself and colleagues.
- Maintain organized records and filing systems for efficient retrieval of information.
- Effectively communicate with operations staff regarding scheduling or passenger-related issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Exhibit reliability in attendance and contribute positively as a team member, supporting colleagues, management, and peers.
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
- Previous experience in clerical work, data entry, or customer service is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a valuable asset.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing positive interactions.
- Proficiency in data entry and accurate record-keeping.
- Familiarity with the service area and its transportation routes.
- Basic understanding of Windows-based computer operating systems.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction at all levels.
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently.
