Cardiac Nursing Duties
As a cardiac nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients with high-acuity heart conditions in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Your role will involve caring for patients who have undergone cardiac surgery, experienced myocardial infarctions, heart failure, cardiac dysrhythmias, structural heart disease, hypothermia, post-cardiac arrest, vascular surgery, and those with ventricular assist devices.
Each of our 24 private rooms is equipped with advanced monitoring capabilities, including NIBP, SpO2, arterial, pulmonary artery, cardiac output, temperature, and arrhythmia monitoring.

Provide continuous cardiac monitoring, recognizing and intervening in arrhythmias.
Initiate and manage multiple complex cardiac-related infusions at elevated doses.
Care for patients with invasive lines, including:
Examples:
Arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters.
Monitor intubated and mechanically ventilated patients, as well as those recovering from acute cardiac surgery and trauma.
Qualifications
Requirements
We seek a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with outstanding clinical skills, a caring demeanor, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in our state.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Specialty Certifications:
CCRN/CMCCSCCHFN.
Previous experience in Cardiac ICU, Open Heart Recovery, Advanced Heart Failure, Impella VAD, and ECMO is preferred.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or attainment within six months of hire is required.
Compensation Information
$71.80 per hour.
