POSITION OVERVIEW

The Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role within our organization, serving as a key link between our Drivers and Warehouse Staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining a reliable driver roster to meet branch workload demands.

  • Collaborating with the Warehouse Manager to uphold optimal delivery levels.
  • Supervising delivery personnel and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of delivery vehicles.
  • Coordinating truck maintenance schedules with leasing companies.
  • Reporting job-related issues to the Installation Manager promptly.
  • Compiling daily shipping reports.
  • Fostering a culture of safety and accident prevention.
  • Conducting weekly safety meetings as directed by corporate safety management.
  • Assessing daily workloads through effective schedule management.
  • Prioritizing tasks and seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Monitoring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Overseeing the logistics of goods movement, storage, and distribution.
  • Addressing delivery discrepancies or delays.
  • Creating an environment that encourages open communication and aligns with company objectives.

  • Ensuring that shipping documentation is organized, current, and compliant.
  • Preparing job folders and installation packets.
  • Initiating and managing all delivery tickets.
  • Coordinating customer deliveries with guidance from the Installation/Service Manager.
  • Working alongside the Installation/Service Manager to ensure timely deliveries for installations and service appointments.
  • Reporting incidents to management without delay.
  • Supervising the Warehouse Manager regarding inbound deliveries from vendors and directing the Warehouse Lead on incoming trucks.
  • Managing receiving and shipping documentation in the relevant tracking system.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES This role encompasses supervisory responsibilities in alignment with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; recognizing and addressing employee issues; and resolving conflicts.
  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in operating hand trucks safely.
  • Ability to interpret packing slips and bills of lading.
