Position Overview:

Comfort Keepers of Mt. Pleasant, SC is on the lookout for empathetic and committed caregivers to deliver vital assistance to individuals requiring help with daily living activities. As a caregiver within our organization, you will offer personalized in-home care services, including companionship and personal assistance, ensuring that our senior clients remain safe, healthy, and comfortable in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Grooming & Hygiene Support
  • Assistance with Mobility, including the use of transfer aids (hoyer lifts, gait belts, etc.)
  • Transferring & Positioning Clients
  • Toileting & Incontinence Support
  • Meal Preparation & Cooking Assistance
  • Light Housekeeping & Laundry Duties
  • Grocery Shopping, Errands, and Transportation
  • Medication Reminders
  • Support for Clients with Dementia/Alzheimer's

Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum of 6 months caregiving experience (Family Care counts)
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is necessary based on client needs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required during shifts. High visual and auditory acuity and effective verbal communication are essential.
  • Applicants must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for background checks and driving records.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
  • Possession of a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
  • Reliable transportation and commitment to punctuality and dependability in fulfilling assignments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Empathy towards client needs.
  • Respectful treatment of clients, families, staff, and the public, maintaining a positive public image.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of clients' medical information.
