Role Overview:
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized rehabilitation services. You will work with clients in various environments, including their homes and communities, to facilitate real-life experiences that enhance their recovery journey. Your expertise will be essential in creating tailored treatment plans that address individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting thorough evaluations and developing customized treatment plans.
- Regularly reassessing treatment effectiveness and participating in interdisciplinary meetings.
- Performing discharge evaluations and providing recommendations for home and community safety.
- Effectively communicating patient progress to the treatment team and family members.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification as per state regulations.
- At least one year of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, particularly for complex neurological conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist patients with mobility as needed.
Physical Requirements:
The role may require:
- Frequent lifting, moving, or transferring of patients, which may involve lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Engaging in activities that require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and prolonged standing or walking.
- Additional physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
