Radiation Therapist

Ascension St. Vincent is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in Newburgh, IN.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $63,500-$85,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are looking for an experienced Radiation Therapist to administer radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with physicians and dosimetrists to deliver accurate patient treatment plans.

• Prepare patients for treatment sessions, ensuring accurate positioning and technical parameters.
• Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, adhering to regulatory agency standards.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS, maintaining image quality and correct lead markers and patient data/history.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and other areas within the department.

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A valid BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy (ARRT), or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
• A minimum of 2 years of cumulative experience or an Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
