Position Overview:

The Supplier Quality Engineer is dedicated to reducing supplier quality challenges through thorough root cause analysis, implementing both temporary fixes and permanent solutions to ensure minimal disruption to production and optimal product integrity. This role involves collaborating with designated suppliers to foster continuous enhancements in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Authorize modifications to parts and processes for both design and non-design changes.
  • Validate supplier root cause analyses, develop countermeasures, and oversee their implementation.
  • Conduct data evaluations, prioritize significant issues, and drive initiatives for supplier characteristic improvements.
  • Manage complex problem-solving analyses and investigations.
  • Lead and coordinate supplier countermeasure efforts to ensure effective resolutions.
  • Facilitate communication with suppliers and other departments regarding countermeasure strategies.
  • Enhance technical knowledge aligned with the Honda Way and departmental standards.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • 0-4 years of relevant experience, depending on educational background.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in workload management and prioritization.
  • Adept at presenting information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Considerations:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (local, domestic, and international).
  • Average overtime of 3-5 hours per week.
  • This role involves a combination of on-site supplier visits, office work, and remote tasks.
