We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Hudson Headwaters Health Network. As a Mobile Oral Health Clinical Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting and participating in all activities related to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a preventive, educational, and therapeutic mobile oral health program throughout our service area.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, provide prophylaxis, apply sealants, and administer fluoride treatments as necessary, adhering to NYS Statute and Regulations, Dental Hygiene Code of Ethics, and HHHN policies and procedures.
- Participate in oral health activities conducted by the organization, serving as a resource and educator to dental hygienists, nurses, school teachers, and other professionals, community leaders, parents, and children.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and community stakeholders, promoting oral health awareness and education.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth and competence, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in dental hygiene and public health.
- Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene, Health Education, or Business Management preferred; Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene with three years of clinical experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- NYS License in Dental Hygiene required; Current CPR-AED BLS Provider certification also required.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist; valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the network.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; thorough knowledge of terminology related to public health; knowledge of personal computers and various software packages.
- Ability to plan and organize functional resources, define and develop internal and external relationships, and coordinate activities to achieve the organization's mission and goals.
