Position Overview

Evening Crisis Intervention Specialist

Competitive Signing Bonuses Available

Newly licensed MSWs may qualify for a $2500 signing bonus, while fully licensed Social Workers can receive a $7500 signing bonus.

Relocation assistance is offered within New York State.

As an Evening Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will conduct crisis evaluations and provide immediate support to individuals facing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric emergencies. Your role will involve both telephonic and in-person interventions, utilizing a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. You will be responsible for creating crisis prevention and safety strategies, assessing their effectiveness, coordinating with existing treatment providers, and connecting clients to additional community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver prompt assistance to individuals and families in crisis, including adults, children, and adolescents, through phone consultations and on-site visits. Participate in a community-based emergency services rotation, which may include holiday and weekend shifts. Perform comprehensive risk assessments, mental health evaluations, and substance use screenings. Develop actionable plans for crisis stabilization, safety, and follow-up, collaborating with team members and supervisors. Engage with community resources to facilitate follow-up care and referrals for mental health and substance use treatment. Provide short-term crisis intervention services in clients' homes or community settings.

Work Schedule:

Full-time positions available; options include 5 days a week from 3 PM to 11 PM or 4 days a week with 10-hour shifts. Part-time opportunities are also offered. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the schedule. For weekend shifts, the schedule will adjust to 5, 8-hour shifts for that week.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, MSW-LP, or MHC-LP licensure, with the willingness to apply for a limited permit upon hire. A Master's degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of relevant experience are required. Candidates must be prepared to obtain licensure within three months of hire. A valid NYS Driver's License is necessary, along with the ability to travel to clients' homes and various community locations under diverse conditions.
