Interventional Radiology Technologist

Highmark Health is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:The Interventional Radiology Technologist will assist in performing various imaging procedures, including interventional radiology, fluoroscopy, and CT scans. You will work closely with our interventional radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assist in setting up the interventional suite with appropriate instruments and supplies.
- Utilize proper aseptic techniques and practices standard precautions.
- Assist with preparing, positioning, and draping patients and participate in the interventional space to assure correct patient and surgical site.
- Understand, anticipate, and adapt to interventional provider preference and patient care variables, and contribute to updating interventional provider preference materials.
- Complete all required documentation for procedures, including regulatory, billing protocols, and image distribution.
- Maintain adequate supplies for efficient section/department operations and participate in inventory control and monitoring.
- Implement radiation protection and patient safety standards.
- Associate's degree or certification from a technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Radiography Certification and Registration (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification and Registration (VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 24 months of hire.
- CPR - American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Prior experience working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
