Job Summary
As a Heavy Duty Vehicle Operator with Waste Management, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes. Your primary objective is to ensure the safe transportation of waste materials while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with customers, dispatchers, and route managers throughout the day. You must also possess a strong commitment to safety, adhering to all regulatory requirements and company expectations for the fleet.

You will operate a vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT regulations, performing pre- and post-trip inspections using the standard DVIR form. Any issues or concerns will be promptly reported to the Route Manager or Dispatch.

A key aspect of this position is your ability to adapt to changing situations, prioritizing tasks and adjusting your schedule as needed. You will work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies, identifying problem areas and implementing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a heavy-duty truck on swing routes
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections using the standard DVIR form
• Report any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch
• Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Route Manager
• Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem areas

Requirements:
• 2 years of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
• Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

Preferred Qualifications:
• High School or GED (accredited)
