Commercial Construction Estimator

A leading firm in the commercial construction industry, renowned for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, is seeking an experienced Estimator with expertise in commercial ground-up projects.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to work effectively with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best value for our clients.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to clients, highlighting the benefits of our services.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update estimating databases and documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends, costs, and regulations to provide the best possible service to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating is required.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, such as PlanSwift or Bluebeam, is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with project stakeholders.
