Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Driver to join our team at Southeast Building Supply Interests Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in delivering our products to customers safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from construction sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Unload building materials using forklifts, and perform hand loading, unloading, stacking, and staging of products.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, cargo deliveries, and hours logged, as well as complete driver vehicle inspection reports and notify management of any mechanical issues.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of company vehicles, and report any road incidents to management, following established accident procedures.
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT), state, and local traffic laws, and utilize GPS systems to plan routes and arrive on time.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns and informing management of any issues.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Non-DOT driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Pass all applicable health benchmarks and provide a medical certificate, unless exempted.
  • Strong attention to detail and a distraction-free driving style.
  • Comprehensive understanding of logistics systems and a personable demeanor with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
