Penn State Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Maternal Child Float Pool team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients with and without telemetry. You will float to various units, including Pediatric Intensive Care, Pediatric Intermediate Care, Pediatric Progressive Care, Pediatric Surgical Care, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Neonatal Intensive Care, Women's and Babies, Pediatric Emergency Department, and Pediatric Perianesthesia.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to patients with and without telemetry
- Float to various units, including Pediatric Intensive Care, Pediatric Intermediate Care, Pediatric Progressive Care, Pediatric Surgical Care, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Neonatal Intensive Care, Women's and Babies, Pediatric Emergency Department, and Pediatric Perianesthesia
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements:
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
- AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
- Three years of RN experience in the field of Medical Surgical Nursing preferred
- Current BLS, PALS, and/or NRP certifications preferred
- BSN and certification preferred
