Job Summary

JT4 is seeking a highly skilled Computer Systems Engineer to join our team at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. As a key member of our Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) team, you will be responsible for providing software development expertise to support developmental and operational test and evaluation (DT&E and OT&E) test programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop software and support the verification and validation of software, models, and data from avionics, sensor, EW, and weapons-related test of manned and unmanned modeling and simulated combat aircraft, and threat and missile systems.
  • Provide technical expertise in software development, integration of models, armament, sensor, and electronic warfare systems for complex integrated battlespace modeling and simulation environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software and systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including software design documents, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in C++, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software design and documentation techniques.
  • Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, Network programming, and User Interface programming.
  • Experience with systems engineering and software development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as GIT.
  • Background in coding or modeling using MIL-STD-1760 or 1553 data bus characteristics.
