Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As an Audiologist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Audiological Evaluations: Perform and interpret audiological evaluations to determine the type and severity of hearing loss, vestibular disorder, or other auditory disorder.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Establish a plan of care and implement individual treatment based on evaluation results, functional goals, and by utilizing proper techniques.
  • Prescribe and Dispense Hearing Aids and Devices: Prescribe and dispense hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and hearing protection devices.
  • Provide Patient Education and Counseling: Consults and counsels patients and their families regarding hearing loss, amplification, and related communication difficulties.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement Activities: Participate in performance improvement activities designed to identify and resolve problems affecting patient outcomes/satisfaction and improve quality of care.
  • Manage Caseload and Inventory: Manage assigned caseload at all applicable locations and assist in maintaining inventory of hearing aids and supplies necessary for smooth operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Audiology.
  • Licensure: Audiology license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills; good organizational skills.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday.
  • Environmental Factors: Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids through patient contact.
