Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for executing essential tasks related to the preparation, service, and delivery of meals for patients, staff, and visitors. You will ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards while providing appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation:
    • Carry out routine food preparation tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.
    • Ensure timely completion of food preparation activities.
    • Utilize standardized recipes for preparing meals for patients, cafeteria, and catering services.
    • Implement daily stock rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
    • Adhere to time and temperature controls to guarantee food safety, completing all necessary documentation.
  • Dishwashing and Sanitation:
    • Clean and load dishes into dishwashing machines.
    • Transport clean dishes to designated areas for reuse.
    • Sanitize all food transport equipment.
  • Cafeteria Services:
    • Serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors with courtesy, ensuring portion control.
    • Assist in the preparation of cold food items.
    • Maintain adequate food levels and correct temperatures for service.
    • Keep work areas clean and sanitized.
    • Document time, temperature, and food quality as required.
    • Manage waste disposal from the cafeteria.
  • Patient Tray Line:
    • Execute tasks such as transporting food, assembling trays, and loading carts.
    • Monitor food service temperatures on the tray line.
    • Adhere to portion control and sanitation standards.
    • Complete assigned cleaning duties.
  • Pot and Pan Washing:
    • Prepare sinks for washing pots and pans, ensuring proper cleaning methods.
    • Organize and sanitize washing areas and equipment.
  • Deliver patient trays and snacks promptly, ensuring quality service.
  • Participate in special catering assignments as needed.
  • Manage stock intake and labeling.
  • Follow established safety protocols and complete sanitation tasks as assigned.
  • Respond to phone inquiries professionally, assisting with requests as necessary.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide necessary information to relevant staff.

Qualifications:

Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge & Experience:

Certifications:

Working Conditions:
