Extrusion Operator

As a key member of our Tarkett team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our extrusion machines. Your primary responsibility will be to run and maintain the assigned machine, ensuring the quality of the products being manufactured.

• Operate and maintain extrusion machines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
• Perform online quality inspections of yarn, including shade, air tack, winding, and proper labels.
• Assist in the pack out of yarn on stretch wrap buggies and label with correct information.
• Transport yarn buggies to the stretch wrap station for packaging.
• Assist crew leaders during product changes and spin pack changes as needed.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and organized work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions from supervisor.
• Ability to write pertinent information on cases.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other operators, crew leaders, supervisor, and plant management.
• Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division functions.

This position is exposed to moderate physical activity, with occasional lifting and carrying of items. The work environment is loud, with typical noise levels found in a manufacturing department.
