Job Summary
The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a highly skilled Medical Interpreter to facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers. As a key member of our team, you will provide accurate and timely interpretation services, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oral and written interpretation services for patients and healthcare providers
- Identify and address cultural differences to ensure effective communication
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and families
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent written and oral English and Spanish language skills required
- Ability to provide written translation from Spanish to English and vice versa
- Experience as a medical interpreter preferred
Working Conditions
