Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Position
NASW Assurance Services, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). ASI is a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), providing insurance and assurance services to social workers.
About the Role:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the organization's success in offering insurance and assurance services to social workers.
- Oversee all aspects of the organization, including financial management, operations, stakeholder relations, and program development.
- Ensure alignment with ASI's mission to support and protect social workers.
- Set and implement organizational strategy and direction, identifying market opportunities and differentiating from competitors.
- Partner with high-level officers to ensure company growth and sustainability.
- Maintain an understanding of current professional issues and their implications for the organization and stakeholders.
- Represent ASI at important functions, industry events, and public meetings.
- Evaluate and respond to industry trends, advocating for policies and initiatives that support social workers.
Responsibilities:
- Financial and operational oversight, ensuring sound financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Manage operational processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with social workers, professional associations, donors, regulators, and community partners.
- Ensure program quality and organizational stability through the development and implementation of standards, controls, systems, and procedures.
- Effective board relations, keeping the Board fully informed on the company's condition and all-important influencing factors.
- Help the Board articulate its role and accountabilities and focus on long-range strategic issues.
Qualifications:
- MBA and bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management and insurance, or related fields.
- Minimum of 15 years in various executive management/leadership roles across different businesses and industries.
- Critical competencies in commitment to results, business savvy, leading change, and motivation.
- Deep understanding of insurance products, risk management, and the regulatory environment governing insurance services.

- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and results-driven leadership.
- Robust financial management, problem-solving, and analysis skills.
- Effective collaboration and consensus-building abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
