Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Infrastructure Manager to join our team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing VELCO's statewide wireless network and related fiber and microwave backhaul infrastructure.
Your primary responsibilities will include complex network design, planning, and integration, as well as troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining high-availability digital microwave backhaul networks and developing policies and practices conforming to industry standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage VELCO's trunked radio system, microwave, and optical transport networks.
- Operate and maintain high-availability digital microwave backhaul networks.
- Develop policies and practices conforming to industry standards to test and certify equipment commissioning, maintenance, and operation.
- Plan and allocate radio frequencies for different communication systems to minimize interference and optimize signal quality.
- Design and develop RF systems for communication, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
What We Offer:

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering.
- 7-10 years' related experience, including extensive experience with network security, firewalling, related protocol analysis, and SNMP.
- FCC general class commercial radio operator license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
