Job Summary

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. You will be responsible for capturing diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment. Your ability to accurately interpret doctors' written instructions and maintain accurate patient records will be crucial in ensuring the success of this assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions and position patients for scanning
  • Use computerized tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image quality
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine their technical quality
  • Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience as a CT Tech. You must also hold BLS certification, ARRT (CT) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required. Additionally, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

The estimated salary range for this position is based on national averages for CT Techs in Portland, OR, with experience and certifications factored into the calculation. This figure may vary depending on individual circumstances.
