Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our team under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager. This role involves assisting in the supervision, direction, and coordination of equipment setup, adjustments, and maintenance for production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing innovative methods and procedures to enhance equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and contribute to process development.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including Machine Guarding, LOTO, and IIPP.
- Analyze mechanical and operational issues on assigned equipment, planning and executing corrective actions to maintain optimal production and quality.
- Review production schedules and perform necessary equipment changes or scheduled maintenance during downtime.
- Conduct equipment tests to verify operational efficiency, clear jams, and set aside products for inspection and rework.
- Examine, test, and measure products from assigned equipment for quality specifications, documenting findings accurately.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and inspections, reporting findings to the supervisor and taking appropriate actions.
- Investigate defects and spoilage causes, implementing corrective measures where feasible.
- Guide line operators and packers in daily schedules, standard operating procedures, and requirements.
- Notify the maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment issues and quality concerns.
- Instruct and mentor any maintenance trainees assigned to the role.
- Perform equipment lubrication in the absence of designated personnel.
- May operate equipment during relief periods.
- Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Responsible for reporting Food Defense observations to Quality Teams.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Physical Requirements/Environment:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs.
- Normal vision, hearing sensitivity, and manual dexterity are essential for this position.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing and packaging environment.
