As a Delivery Driver Trainee at US Foods, Inc., you will play a crucial part in delivering food products to customers and ensuring timely service. This position requires a high level of reliability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate company-owned vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Unload products from trailers using various equipment such as two-wheelers, pallet jacks, or by hand, and place them in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of deliveries with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle cash and credit transactions from customers, if applicable
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance our client experience
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Requirements of the Position:

  • Lifting up to 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the day is required
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and performing frequent stops
  • Age requirement: 21 years old
  • Possess a valid CDL Class A license from the state of residence, including necessary endorsements and DOT certifications
  • Commercial driving experience should not exceed six months or three months in the food/beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission may be required in certain areas
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to converse, read, and write effectively
