Job Summary:

Clinical Management Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a prestigious acute care hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team to assess respiratory needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Initiate and monitor both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct various types of breathing therapy and patient assessments to improve respiratory function.
  • Perform postural drainage, percussion, and bronchial hygiene techniques to enhance patient respiratory health.
  • Carry out blood gas puncture and analysis, maintaining quality control of blood gas analyzers.
  • Respond to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations, performing CPR and emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved program of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current and valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Prior acute care hospital experience required.
