Activity Coordinator

This position involves planning, directing, and implementing resident activity programs that align with facility philosophy and policies, as well as state and federal regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of best practices in activities, patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and willingness to adapt to residents' needs. A high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with personal computers, email accounts, and software programs like Word and Excel are required. Graduation from a state-approved Activity Director course is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities include developing and implementing activity programs tailored to residents' varied backgrounds, emotional needs, and interests. Conducting initial and ongoing assessments to determine each resident's activity preferences, abilities, physical limitations, and needs are also essential. Ensuring timely and appropriate activity programs for residents requiring one-on-one intervention, involving residents, their families, and the community in facility activities to ensure quality programs, organizing special events, decorations, and themes for holidays, birthdays, and seasons, maintaining a facility newsletter are other key responsibilities.
Estimated Salary Range
$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
