Role ResponsibilitiesThe Process Engineering Manager will act as a pivotal leader within the Process Engineering department, contributing to various cross-functional teams and providing strategic insights throughout the operations.
- Lead the development and execution of manufacturing plans for new and existing models, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, cost, and safety standards.
- Oversee the training and development of engineering staff.
- Manage the scheduling and installation of new plant equipment.
- Facilitate milestone meetings and address any concerns that arise.
- Develop and monitor budgets for new model programs, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
- Establish and track departmental goals related to quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
- Promote a positive work environment and employee relations.
- Implement measures to reduce costs while maintaining quality performance.
- Collaborate with operations to resolve quality issues effectively.
- Lead a team of process engineers and coordinate with global engineering teams.
- Administer shop floor management systems to enhance compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor safety performance and proactively address safety concerns.
- Identify and implement process improvements to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to enhance manufacturability and address quality concerns.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Previous supervisory experience with a focus on leadership and staff development.
- Strong manufacturing knowledge, particularly in a technical automotive environment.
- Familiarity with ISO manufacturing quality standards and environmental standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
