This is a per diem role that requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. The Per Diem Physical Therapist reports to the Clinical Supervisor, Physical Therapy and provides both direct and indirect patient care services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform duties of an operational level physical therapist under supervision
- Provide patient care services to adult and geriatric patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
- Work with infants, children, and/or adolescents with specific pediatric competencies
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health provider team
- Document patient information using electronic medical records
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist with the California State Board of Medical Quality Assurance
- Possession of or proven eligibility for CPR certification
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Basic computer skills in word processing and online communication
- Good interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, and self-initiation skills
- Minimum of one year outpatient patient care experience
- Prior physical therapy experience in an academic medical center environment
- Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary health provider team
- Possession of a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited professional educational program
- Possession of a Board Certification from the APTA
- Prior EMR documentation experience
