We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at GoTu.

As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for promoting dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote dental health through dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screening, and radiographic studies.
  • Prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping patients.
  • Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
  • Select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patients' oral health.
  • Complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
  • Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening, feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession, and exposing and developing radiographic studies.
  • Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
Requirements
  • Active dental hygiene license in MN.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care practice.
