Job Overview

Production Technician I

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute part processing through both chemical and manual cleaning techniques.
  • Engage in various tasks including receiving, processing, scrubbing, masking, chemical treatment, machine operation, etching, blasting, coating, drying, and baking as required.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Lean manufacturing principles, and company policies.
  • Complete training on designated processes.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the assigned processing area.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Handle hazardous materials safely and in accordance with established protocols for their use and disposal.
  • Contribute to safety initiatives and complete necessary training.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, manage time effectively, and report on task completion.
  • Uphold a high standard of safety and environmental consciousness through diligent work practices.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to skill advancement and learning new processes.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and deliver quick turnaround on production activities related to masking, wiping, and part processing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including hairnets and frocks.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of safety and environmental practices through effective work habits and adherence to 6S principles.
  • Ability to perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) measurements and document data.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.

Education and Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or some college coursework preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing processes or materials.
  • Preferred 3+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Experience in parts cleaning and coating technologies is advantageous.
  • Kaizen or Lean training is a significant plus.
  • Experience with media blasting.
  • Quality Assurance experience is beneficial.
  • Prior experience in the parts cleaning industry is a major advantage.
  • Experience in high-tech or semiconductor environments is desirable.

Work Environment:

  • Physical requirements include the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently and more with assistance.

  • Extended use of phones and computers may be required.
