Position Overview
AECOM is looking for a skilled and experienced professional to take on the role of Senior Electrical Engineer. This position will be integral to our Buildings + Places practice, which encompasses a wide range of services including architectural design, engineering, and planning.
The ideal candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions for various projects, including commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities. We emphasize the importance of integrating sustainability, resilience, and innovation into every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical leadership in electrical engineering and related fields.
- Utilize advanced engineering principles to address complex technical challenges.
- Independently make decisions on critical technical issues and represent the organization in professional forums.
- Coordinate and plan project activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and budget constraints.
- Design and evaluate electrical systems, including power distribution and lighting solutions.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and provide recommendations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in electrical analysis software and design tools.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical systems design.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively.
- Experience in managing projects and leading teams.
