PRIMARY ROLE: The primary responsibility of the educator is to cultivate a positive, engaging, and enriching learning environment. The educational framework aligns with the essential outcomes of the Hillsborough City School District, the objectives set by the School Board, and the standards established by the State of California.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of educational theories, curriculum guidelines, and local and state educational requirements when planning and delivering instruction.
- Identifies and addresses the diverse learning needs of students, considering their individual styles and modalities.
- Develops and employs instructional materials and methodologies tailored to meet the identified needs of students.
- Continuously evaluates and documents students' academic and social development, including the completion of report cards, and adjusts teaching strategies accordingly.
- Establishes and upholds standards of student behavior to foster an optimal learning atmosphere.
- Conducts both formal and informal conferences with parents to discuss student progress, explain the educational program, and address inquiries.
