Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepares and dispenses medication orders as per physician directives, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Compounds and dispenses a variety of pharmaceutical products, including sterile and non-sterile formulations, chemotherapy agents, and nutritional solutions.
- Manages the distribution of controlled substances, ensuring compliance with legal and institutional regulations.
- Participates in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and medication management.
- Supervises pharmacy support staff, ensuring the accuracy of their daily tasks and activities.
Ambulatory Care Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist also provides ambulatory care services, which include:
- Managing patient medication therapies and anticoagulation treatments.
- Delivering patient education and counseling on medication use.
- Overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications in various clinical settings.
Clinical Duties:
- Ensures the delivery of safe, effective, and economical drug therapies in accordance with established standards.

Work Environment:
This position may involve exposure to hazardous substances and biologic materials during patient care activities. The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree, along with state pharmacy licensure within a specified timeframe.
