Surgical Pathologists and Transfusion Medicine Specialists

Job Opportunity
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking highly qualified candidates for two positions in surgical pathology and transfusion medicine. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for sign-out of pathology cases, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and research activities aligned with your clinical and academic interests.
Responsibilities
- Sign-out of pathology cases
- Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Research activities aligned with your clinical and academic interests
- Serving on Departmental and/or University committees when needed
Requirements
Candidates should have a medical degree (MD or MD/PhD), be board-certified/eligible in AP, CP, or AP/CP with proper subspecialty fellowship training, and be eligible for a Louisiana Medical License. Preference will be given to applicants with sub-specialties in GU, GI/liver, or Gyn pathology for surgical pathology positions, and those with knowledge and experience in apheresis and stem cell collection for transfusion medicine positions.
