Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Community Clinic Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD.
About the RoleThis is a customer-facing position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care: Assist with prescription filling, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain accurate records.
- Support pharmacy operations: Enter prescriptions into the computer system, retrieve and count orders, and prepare inventory for restocking.
- Communicate with medical staff: Obtain refill authorizations, refer patients for appointments, and collaborate with pharmacists to ensure safe and efficient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Receive and stock inventory, dispose of expired medications, and adhere to 340B program protocols.
- Certification: Pharmacy Technician certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in a retail pharmacy or FQHC preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic math skills.
The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time, on-site position located at CCI's Gaithersburg location. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
