Position Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic Cannabis Retail Associate who shares our commitment to providing top-notch products and outstanding customer service. This role involves close collaboration with store leadership and reporting directly to the General Manager. The Cannabis Retail Associate will ensure that customers receive exceptional service by understanding their needs, exceeding their expectations, and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of our diverse range of cannabis products, promotions, and deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate customer needs, provide relevant product information, and conduct transactions with precision and speed.
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques and actively engage in upselling to enhance customer experience.
  • Embrace constructive feedback and be open to coaching from management.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
  • Adhere to scheduled shifts and comply with the company's attendance policies.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote the benefits of being a JARS customer, including loyalty programs and referral incentives.
  • Accurately record transactions in the POS system and maintain the integrity of the cash drawer.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as necessary.
  • Escalate customer concerns to management when appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor and treat customers and colleagues with respect.
  • Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist when the team is short-staffed.
  • Integrate JARS company policies into daily interactions and responsibilities.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to the needs and requests of customers and coworkers.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service within a retail, sales, or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of cannabis strains and their applications is preferred.
  • Experience in the cannabis or health industry is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, with some bending and stretching.
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
  • Work will typically occur in a fast-paced retail cannabis environment.
  • Frequent interaction with customers and team members.
  • Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
