Key Responsibilities:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to address the communication needs of K-12 students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders affecting academic performance.
  • Collaborating with educational stakeholders to create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
  • Providing both direct and indirect speech and language services to designated students.
  • Working closely with classroom educators and interdisciplinary teams to support the speech and language development of students.
  • Monitoring student progress through ongoing observations and data collection, allowing for timely adjustments to treatment strategies.
  • Maintaining open and regular communication with families, providing updates and strategies to encourage continued development at home.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school or pediatric environment.
  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • A valid Pennsylvania SLP license issued by the Pennsylvania Board of Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • A valid Pennsylvania Education Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
