Pharmacist Floater

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist Floater to join our team at WEIS LLC. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the pharmacy manager to control inventories, track sales, and order pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits.

• Weigh, measure, mix, and fill medications, providing advice to self-medicating patients and dispensing non-prescription medications as needed.

• Perform patient immunizations on a regular basis, maintaining open communication with health and insurance professionals.

• In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, schedule pharmacy associates, reward and recognize performance, discipline associates as required, and assign work to effectively utilize skills and abilities while meeting company profit objectives.

• Assist in the ongoing training and development of department personnel to improve performance, ensure continuous development, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.

• Help control department expenses by monitoring and improving operations, ensuring labor goals are met, and reducing losses due to shrink.

• Respond to customer complaints and questions in an efficient and courteous manner, providing effective counseling on prescription-related issues.

• Maintain a safe, clean department through an effective housekeeping program, meeting company, health department, and OSHA standards.

• Ensure smooth department function by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, responsible for continuously improving job performance.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without an accommodation. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or responsibilities required:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D
• State Pharmacist License
