QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid license in the state of Missouri
  • ASHA Certification
  • Experience in conducting Speech and Language assessments and therapy for children and/or adolescents.

REPORTS TO: MLC Director

Compensation: $48 Per Hour for PRN

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing speech and language capabilities in children and adolescents, providing tailored interventions to address identified deficits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments to identify each child's strengths and challenges related to speech and language.
  2. Establish relevant therapy objectives to facilitate access to the general education curriculum and assist families in achieving realistic treatment goals.
  3. Create and periodically revise a comprehensive treatment plan.
  4. Collaborate with educational teams and build positive relationships with school personnel and families.
  5. Support Partner School Staff by offering expertise and guidance on speech and language matters.
  6. Maintain detailed progress notes for IEP goals, insurance, and other relevant stakeholders.
  7. Draft IEP goals, present levels of performance, and quarterly progress reports as required by school personnel.
  8. Adhere to the Partner School's calendar, ensuring regular attendance and timely communication regarding absences. Additionally, make up missed IEP minutes promptly and document accordingly.
  9. Coordinate with other professionals to ensure cohesive treatment approaches.
  10. Submit billing promptly.
  11. Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisors or school staff.
