Job Summary
The position is a clinical role focused on diagnosing, treating, and managing pediatric patients in a multidisciplinary environment. This includes working with physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, clinical scientists, and social workers. The position offers exposure to a mix of general and high-acuity pediatric patients, with opportunities for teaching, supervision, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions and treatment.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through self-education and professional development.
- Develop and deliver educational programs for staff and residents.
- Coordinate patient care, including follow-up and communication with patients and families.
- Provide direct clinical services, including history and physical examinations, patient teaching, and medication administration.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and publishing initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current state medical license and good standing with the medical board.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
